Move over Seattle, San Francisco is on your caffeinated heels. Coffee is the lifeblood of most Americans, with 83 percent considering themselves coffee-drinkers. Whether you want coffee in the morning or afternoon, from a coffee shop or a regular eatery that offers coffee, chains like Starbucks are becoming just as commonplace as McDonald's. But, San Franvisco urges you to cut the chains and try out some of these top local coffee houses in the area next time you're around.

The weather gods sent us a flawless day to wander San Francisco. Bob and I targeted the historic Ferry Building to enjoy the sun and warm, and indulge a bit of browsing. It’s a destination easily combined with a trip to Alcatraz, Sausalito, or Fisherman’s Wharf.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind.
Barcelona – this seaside town has much to offer visitors, from delicious food to Gaudi’s famous buildings. But as with any large city, how do you fit it all in? One way we love is discovering the city by bike! There are many locations for bike rentals in Barcelona, so wherever you are staying, you can hop on a bike and explore. There are bike paths, and the city is used to having plenty of bike traffic (as always, follow local traffic rules).
The ins and outs of getting around on the London Tube
Prior to studying abroad in London, I spoke with a friend about things I needed to know about London. The first thing he said was to get familiar with the tube. He also gave me a map so I could start studying. Before you leave for London, I would highly recommend getting familiar with the map. The tube will most likely be a part of your daily life.
